Wow! What an amazing, crazy, fun, awesome and a little hectic wedding day Dahlia and Amu had. I can say that because it’s said with so much love for them and their family and if you were there then you know exactly what I’m talking about. Dahlia and Amu exited the beautiful Redlands LDS Temple as husband and wife and were greeted by many friends and family as well an insane storm. Planning a July wedding in Southern California is usually pretty safe for weather purposes, except for the insane heat that we are pretty much used to and expect. I don’t think that any of us could have imagined what the day had in store for us. Here in Southern California we are in a serious drought, so rain is just something we hadn’t seen in quite a while. Well Mother Nature sure made up for it on this day. We had heavy rain, black skies, wind, thunder and lightning. Oh, and lets not forget some humidity. This storm stayed with us for the entire day! After getting over the initial shock of the situation and many prayers everyone, and I mean everyone, pitched in to make this one amazing day for this sweet couple. Calls were made, tarps were bought and set up, tables were moved, decorations were salvaged, water was drained and fancy clothes were set aside to make this outdoor reception amazing. And amazing it was!!! I don’t know if I have ever seen and felt so much love for one couple. And don’t get me started on how much fun the reception was. Amazing!! I was so grateful for the very brief moments of calm that allowed us to quickly get some beautiful images.

Amu and Dahlia thank you for letting me be a part of your truly amazing day! You two are just the sweetest and I wish you much love and happiness as you start your new life together in American Samoa. xo
